Terms

Welcome to Rooted Wealth. These terms of use (“Terms”) govern your use of this website, www.rootedwealth.co.uk (the “Website”). By using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

Who we are

The Website is operated by Laura Duffield, trading as Rooted Wealth, based in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at hello@rootedwealth.co.uk.

Use of the Website

You may use the Website for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

  • use the Website in any way that breaches applicable law or regulation;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, the server on which it is hosted, or any connected systems;
  • introduce viruses, malware or other harmful material;
  • copy, scrape or reproduce content from the Website for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, all content on the Website — including text, images, branding and design — is owned by or licensed to Laura Duffield and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may view, download and print content for your personal use only. Any other use requires our prior written permission.

Not financial advice

Rooted Wealth provides coaching services. The content on this Website, in our blog and newsletter, and in coaching sessions is provided for general information and educational purposes only. It does not constitute financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and it is not a personal recommendation to buy, sell or hold any investment or financial product.

Rooted Wealth is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and does not provide regulated financial advice. Before making any financial decisions, you should consider seeking advice from an independent financial adviser authorised and regulated by the FCA. Any decisions you make based on content from this Website or our coaching are made at your own risk.

Coaching services

Coaching engagements are arranged individually and may be subject to a separate coaching agreement, which will set out the specific services, fees, and cancellation terms. If there is any conflict between these Terms and a coaching agreement, the coaching agreement takes priority for those services.

The Website contains links to third-party websites and services (such as Substack, WhatsApp, Instagram and LinkedIn). These are provided for your convenience only. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales.

Subject to the above:

  • we exclude all implied conditions, warranties and representations that may apply to the Website or its content;
  • we will not be liable to you for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Website or your reliance on any content on it, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, including any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business or loss of data.

Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. The current version will always be published on this page, with the date above updated accordingly. By continuing to use the Website after changes are published, you accept the revised Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from them — except that if you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
